WhatsApp seems to be about to release its new call UI. Earlier this year we saw the new instant messaging app for iOS, the popular instant messaging app. New report now shows how the new call interface looks on Android. This is what you need to know about it.
New report by WABetaInfo Indicates that the app will apply a gray square in the center of the screen during calls. UI buttons are still at the bottom of the screen, allowing you to switch to speaker (hands-free) mode, switch to video call, and mute yourself.
See the UI in the screenshot below.

You can also see that the gray square during the 1-to 1 call shows the address you are talking to and the duration of the call. Below these two elements is a large circle that shows the user profile picture.
To avoid being confused with the mute button in the bottom row, you can see a small mute button at the bottom right of the gray card. This may be used to mute the other person without interrupting the call.
The gray card background looks like the default WhatsApp chat background in the image, but reports suggest this is adjustable and users can add their own chat background to the call screen background.
The interface also changes to group chats, which now look cleaner. Instead of a mosaic-like UI, we now see more gray cards, one for each connection on the call. Profile picture and sound wave form below and these cards will have the contacts name at the top.
The UI is only visible to selected users, and not everyone on WhatsApp and Android Beta program has seen it yet but it runs on version 2.22.54. “
