Following in the footsteps of many other car companies, German carmaker Volkswagen has teamed up with motion service specialist Orx to launch its own registration-based car ownership model. In the subscription model, customers can choose to ‘subscribe’ for a Polo hatchback, Vento midsize sedan, or T-Roc SUV for 24 months, 36 months or 48 months. Volkswagen Polo can be rented for 16,500 Rebels, 27,000 Rebels and a T-roc SUV for 59,000 rubles.
The subsidized model is currently in deployment in 30 Volkswagen stores in Delhi, NCR, Mumbai, Unin, Ahmedad, Bangalore, Chennai and Hyderabad. ORIX provides its customers with 100% off-road financing, regular maintenance, insurance and car upgrade or return options.
“Car registrations are gaining popularity, especially among the city’s middle class,” said Ashsh Gupta, director of production for Volkswagen passenger cars in India.
In response to this customer needs, we have expanded our partnership with Orix to strengthen our rental and subscription system, which focuses on providing accessible and secure ownership experience opportunities. Gupta added.
