NEW DELHI – Tiktok has blocked the popular “milk box test” for fear of serious harm to users who take part in the trend. The challenge saw TikTok users stack milk boxes into a pyramid and climb on the unstable structure, Tech Crunch reported.
TikTok prohibits content that promotes or celebrates malicious activities, and we remove videos and redirect searches to our content to deactivate such content. “We encourage everyone to be careful about their behavior, both online and offline,” said a company spokesman.
In most of the trending videos, Tikke users fall to the ground as they try to climb one side of the built pyramid.
The ban comes after several health care workers raised concerns on social media about the trend and the risks to those involved.
Searching for hashtags trending on the app now brings up “no results”, the report said.
