Snapchat allows users to change names but conditions apply

Ever wanted to change your Snapchat account username? If yes, there is some good news. The company plans to launch a service that will allow you to change your username. This way one does not have to create a new account and can still get old friends lists, Snap results, Snap codes and memories.

Additionally, you cannot enter a username that others have used. Once you have changed your username, you will no longer have the option to move to the previous username. All of this means that once you change your Snapchat username, it will not be available to everyone.

Snapchat says this was a much-needed feature, so it is finally offering it to its users. This is a good feature for those who are tired of using their old username, and the new one gives users a chance to rediscover themselves. The new feature was previously only available to people in Australia. In addition, other social media platforms such as TikTok, Instagram and Twitter have the ability to change usernames.

If you want to change your username on Snapchat, you first need to tap the Bitmoji icon at the top left of the screen. Then tap the gear icon to select the Profile section> Settings. Here, you will find an option called “Username”, simply tap on it and you will get the “Change Username” button. You can then enter a new username and tap “Next” to apply the change. Then your username will be updated.

The news comes just days after Snapchat announced it will start adding mid-package ads to user stories. This feature allows creators to earn some income from their work. This is currently available in beta version and will be visible to people who have reached the Snap Star level.
