Scholarship deadline is February 15 for students in online degree programs

U of A students in online degree programs must apply by February 1522 to be awarded the WE Manning Memorial Scholarship in the fall of 2022.

Global Campus requires teachers, counselors, administrators and friends to share this scholarship deadline with students in online programs.

Up to 25 U OFA students can benefit from a $ 2,000 scholarship per undergraduate or graduate online degree program. Students can apply for financial aid from over 40 degree programs offered by academic colleges online.

The Scholarship Committee selects candidates who demonstrate financial need, academic competency, or significant community service. Choices are offered to Arkansas residents and first-year high school students. For scholarship purposes, if both parents do not have a master’s degree, the student will be considered a first-year student.

The UA Academic Scholarship Office will announce the award within 60 days after the end of February 15. Scholarships apply for tuition and fees for the 2022-2023 academic year.

“We Manning Memory Scholarship helps online students overcome one of the major hurdles for higher education – cost,” said Cheryl Murphy, vice president of distance education and head of the Global Campus. “In the fifth year of the scholarship, up to 25 U of A students will be enrolled, which is five times the number of recipients.”

Global Campus He awarded scholarships to four students in 2018, seven students in 2019, 22 students in 2020 and 25 students in 2021. Manning and others’ work in the 1980s and 1990s laid the foundation for the Global Campus, an integral part of helping academic colleges develop and deliver high-quality online education and human resource development programs. Global Campus provides instructional design services, technology services, media services and assists in marketing, recruitment and strategic academic development.

William Chambers of Alexandria, Virginia, another recipient of the 2021-22 Scholarship, said: “It will definitely help me achieve my goals because it will cover two parts. This means I will pay less than my pocket, but I can finish the program quickly, knowing that I do not have to distribute more parts.”

Scholarship candidates must enroll in a degree program from Dale Bumpers College of Agriculture, Food and Life Sciences. J. William Fulbright College of Arts and Sciences; Sam M. Walton Business College; College of Education and Health Professions; College of Engineering; Or law school.
