JAMESTON, Andy (Newdoko.com) – The James Valley Vocational and Tech Center (CCC) is a key word for local students.
Over the years, CTC has given students the opportunity to learn and develop a variety of skills and prepare for life outside of school. While providing instructional programs to students in Jemstown and Montpellier, Cicle-State School District continues to expand its services.
Darby Heinert is the Center’s Assistant Director of CCT. He says they are looking to expand their cooperation even for student opportunities.
CTC’s special programs include child care, marketing and administration, health professions, construction technology, car crash technology, precision machine technology, agricultural education and aviation.
As part of their partners, Heinert says they have students who work in the area where they want to contribute to that business.
Another way CTC can expand its services is by building extension plans.
Heinert says the expansion will require some existing space, commercial kitchen renovation, and the establishment of a more accessible greenhouse for agricultural business programs.
Heinert, for his part, said they had a discussion with an ambulance in the Jamesston area to provide station and emergency medical personnel at the center.
Initial plans for a $ 1.3 million expansion project are set for the summer of 2022.
Heinert said they also want more joint and sponsorship opportunities. One example is their “Fast Track to RN” program.
