Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI) developer Crafton blocked more than 71,000 accounts in the week of January 2. This is part of Crafton’s strict defensive measures against fraud and players who negatively impact the gaming experience of others. It also publishes a list of Battlegrounds Mobile India accounts that have been blocked by the developer. Last month, Krafton announced that it would permanently ban the use of Royal Mobile gaming equipment during the war.
Crafton announced in a post that it had suspended 71,116 accounts in Battlegrounds Mobile India between December 27 and January 2. Crafton published a list of “scammers who tried to tarnish the image of war.”
“Battlefield Mobile India seeks to impose stricter sanctions with the ultimate goal of eliminating the use of illegal programs to provide a more enjoyable gaming environment for you,” Crafton said.
Krafton generally blocks players and accounts if they download Battlegrounds Mobile India from an unofficial source or have auxiliary programs installed on their device. Krafton has previously blocked nearly 60,000 accounts between December 20 and December 26, and about 100,000 between the week of December 13 and December 19.
Last month, Battlegrounds Mobile India developers announced that it would ban players from cheating during the Royal War. If Crafton finds out that illegal programs are being used on devices with the new security logic, it will block those devices from the game to the end. Previously, the game only blocked players or their accounts when they used non-standard or updated versions of the app or had illegal auxiliary programs.
