Apple Inc. has launched a year of high-performance release for new products with the introduction of low-end iPhone SE and iPad Air tablets, 5G versions as well as a redesigned Mac desktop computer and fast processor.
Apple unveiled the devices at a virtual event it called “Peak Performance” on Tuesday in a bid to keep pace following Wall Street’s record-breaking holiday quarter. CEO Tim Cook has announced plans to bring Major League baseball games to the company’s TV + streaming service.
The event includes a new Apple processor called the M1 Ultra, which the company has dubbed the most powerful personal computer chip ever. The product is part of Apple’s years-long transition to Intel Corp. processors.
It features the new desktop computer, Mac Studio, M1 Ultra Chip and is aimed at app developers, photo editors and video creators. Apple has unveiled a much cheaper 27-inch display than the current model, at $ 1,599.
There were some major surprises at the event, and after the stock ended, it slipped below 1% to $ 158. Due to the broad stock market crash, it fell to 10% this year.
Bloomberg News reported on the new iPhone SE and iPad Air in January and January 2021 on Mac Studio computers and low-cost displays.
The event is the first of a series of products expected to launch this year, with Apple launching additional Mac and iPad as well as the iPhone 14 and new smartphones. And the company could anticipate the first mixed and virtual reality headset later this year.
Apple’s new iPhone will be updated on the SE line for the first time since 2020. The model continues to come in black, white and red, with a slightly higher price of $ 429, out of $ 399. But it has 5G network support, fast A15 processor and other features.
The iPhone SE continues to be similar to the iPhone 8 in 2017, including the Home key with Touch ID – rather than the face recognition used by advanced models. It has a 4.7-inch screen, which is available on a smaller iPhone. But the addition of 5G will make the device more competitive in the market and could help the company attract Android users and users with older iPhones.
Apple does not sell individual iPhone models, but the smartphone represents the largest maker of all, making more than half of its revenue last year or about $ 192 billion.
SE was first launched in In 2016, there was a call for a smaller and cheaper iPhone, and it was already updated at the beginning of the epidemic. On Tuesday, Apple added new green color options to the iPhone 13, a feature that will keep the updated iPhone 14 up to date until the end of the year.
The new iPhone SE and M1 chip 599 iPad Air will be ready to order on March 11 before the store arrives a week later.
Apple began ordering Mac Studio on Tuesday, before releasing it.
The chip is designed to make it easy for developers to complete code, make 3D graphics, and work on video, with 20 CPU cores, 64 graphics processing cores and a 32-core nerve engine, Apple said.
