Recently, generous donations, former student Bob Craft, BSME ’61, and his wife, Marie, further expanded the Kraft Family Scholar Award at the University of Ohio’s Russian College of Engineering and Technology to support the creation of Craft Family Associate Professors.
Crafts established the Craft Family Scholarship Awards 20 years ago to provide Associate Professors in the Department of Engineering Technology and Management to further their academic advancement. Over the past 20 years, $ 208,115 has been awarded.
3.5 years after graduating from OHA, Bob and Marie founded the U.S. Navy and seven years as a sales engineer Kraft fluid systems. Over the past 50 years, the company has become a major supplier of mobile hydraulic equipment, hydraulic and electric drives and electronic controls. The company needs an International Liquid Power Society (IFPS) certification for all its technical staff, and in retirement, Bob Craft served as president of IFPS in 2007.
Bob Craft said: “I believe that throughout my career, education, training and experience have led to learning and competence. Craft became a 100% ESOP employee in 2000 and became the owner of their employees.
ETM Chairman Dr. Tod Myers, a former Craft family scholar, explains that the recipients of the funds will be funded to support their research and academic activities to attend the academic conference. Krafts’ expanded support includes a fee for each new Kraft Associate Professor.
“The Kraft Family Scholar has been awarded a high-capacity, middle-class, faculty faculty at Ohio University to encourage their growth,” Myers said. “Acquiring and recognizing those supports will help those individuals stay safe and connect with their students, stay disciplined, and add value to the college and department.”
Associate Professors Dr. Neil Little and Dr. Yukiu are current experts in the Craft family. A.D. When you started teaching at OHIO in 2015, you saw the award in recognition of her hard work.
“I am just happy to have this award,” she said. “It means your co-workers, your class and everyone else are aware of your diligence here. I think it’s great for junior teachers like me.
Thanks in part to Krafts’ continued generosity, Rus College will continue to attract high-quality faculty members who will receive the associate professorship of the Kraft family.
